The Dohrer Clan - Memorial Day BBQ

Memorial Day weekend celebrations continued with a Dohrer family BBQ at our place on Monday. I think this is the biggest Dohrer gathering we've had at the house yet! Lots of cousins and Uncle Bob & Aunt Jackie in the middle. Kelly is very fortunate to have so much wonderful family around!

Sandos Bon Voyage Party

On Memorial Day weekend, a bunch of us old MBA/SDSU-era friends gathered at Kathy & Tim's place in 4S Ranch for a bittersweet event - to wish the Sandwisch's - Steve, Jen, Katie & Andrew - farewell and bon voyage to the next chapter of their new life in Colorado. This group of friends has known each other over 10, and some of us 15 years! We have been thru college, weddings, births, deaths, job success & losses, and all kinds of stuff in between. We enjoyed the day with each other by hanging out, eating, drinking, laughing, and playing & going swimming in the community pool!

The kids had a blast as did the adults, and we marked yet another memorable time together in our history of many, many fun memories full of smiles, laughs, celebrations, tears, worries, and triumphs, much of which we have captured in photos over the years that we collected and put together on a digital frame as a going away present for the Sandos (and all of us!) to remember us by. And we added some more good photos that day as well... Happy trails Sandos! We'll miss you!! Although you will not be as close in miles, you will always remain close to our heart and friendships like ours never fade, they just change and grow and age like fine wine (and we all know a lot about THAT!) :-) xoxo

Being a mom...

Becoming a mom... and being a mom, has been the most gratifying, deeply satisfying and soul-fullfulling thing I've ever done, and continues to be so every day. Because of Kelly, love has a whole new meaning to me. I am complete because I have her in my life, and I absolutely adore and thrive on being her mommy. I hope every day feels like Mother's Day and that I feel as blessed as I do today.
